AI phone agent for MSPs on FreePBX and Sangoma
On FreePBX you build the call path yourself: inbound route, time condition, ring group. Add the Mizo number as a destination in that path, after hours or when nobody answers, and the Phone Agent handles the rest.

About Sangoma FreePBX: FreePBX is the open-source, Asterisk-based PBX maintained by Sangoma, which also sells the commercial PBXact edition and hosted voice services.
What the Phone Agent does for Sangoma FreePBX users
Sangoma FreePBX keeps routing your calls. Mizo answers the ones you send it and turns each into a ticket.
Time condition to Mizo
Point the support inbound route at a time condition whose closed-hours destination is a misc destination dialing the Mizo number.
Ring group failover
Set the ring group's failover destination to the same misc destination so unanswered calls reach Mizo.
Caller matched, ticket written
The Phone Agent matches the caller to their company and contact in your PSA, then creates or updates the ticket with the transcript and a summary.
On-call transfer for emergencies
When a call needs a human now, the Phone Agent transfers it to the on-call number you configure.
How Mizo works with Sangoma FreePBX
There is no API integration with Sangoma FreePBX. You forward calls from Sangoma FreePBX to a dedicated Mizo phone number. The Phone Agent answers, matches the caller to a contact in your PSA, creates or updates the ticket with the transcript, and transfers to your on-call technician when a human is needed. Your numbers stay where they are.
How to set it up with Sangoma FreePBX
Mizo runs in recommendation mode first, writing its reasoning to each ticket, and moves to autonomous handling only where you allow it.
Get your Mizo number
Mizo provides a dedicated phone number for your Phone Agent.
Forward from Sangoma FreePBX
Create a misc destination that dials the Mizo number, then use it as the time condition's closed-hours destination and/or the ring group's failover destination.
Set on-call and client rules
Give Mizo the number to transfer emergencies to (not your main line, to avoid loops) and any per-client rules for what counts as urgent.
Mizo and Sangoma FreePBX: common questions
Why does the forwarded call play “you have an incoming call”?
That prompt comes from Confirm Calls on a ring group. Turn it off for the path that sends calls to Mizo, or route via a misc destination instead.
Does forwarding use trunk channels?
Yes. A call sent back out of FreePBX uses an outbound channel on your SIP trunk while connected, so check your channel count.
Do we keep our numbers on Sangoma FreePBX?
Yes. Nothing is ported and there is no Sangoma FreePBX API connection. You only forward calls to the Mizo number.
