Software Engineer - Product

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Software Engineer to help shape what the Mizo Product becomes. In this role, you will own problems end-to-end, from discovery to shipping, and iterate fast based on real user feedback.

Mizo is building AI agents that automate service desk operations for Managed Service Providers. Our agents handle ticket triage, client communication, scheduling, resolutions, and escalation — tasks that traditionally require human intervention. We're growing fast, and on track to become the first fully digital service desk for MSPs. We need someone who can build at the pace our market demands.

The ideal candidate sits at the intersection of product thinking and engineering craft. You care as much about why we're building something as how.

Key Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end: from problem discovery and user research to design, implementation, and iteration. You ship, measure, and improve.
• Build and refine AI agent workflows: design agentic pipelines that triage tickets, communicate with end-users, coordinate bookings, and escalate intelligently.
• Ship fast, learn faster: run rapid experiments, validate hypotheses with real MSP users, and make data-informed decisions on what to build next.
• Shape the product roadmap: contribute directly to product strategy through customer insights, competitive awareness, and technical feasibility assessments.
• Build full-stack features: develop across Node.js, React, MongoDB, and Azure to deliver polished, reliable experiences.
• Collaborate async-first: communicate clearly in writing, share context proactively, and make decisions with minimal coordination overhead.

Required Qualifications

• A strong desire to continuously improve, learn new technologies and stay on the cutting edge.
• Track record of shipping product features end-to-end in a startup or high-velocity environment.
• Experience building or integrating AI or LLM-powered features into production products.
• Strong product instincts — you naturally think about user problems, not just technical solutions.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and modern web architecture.
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration. You thrive when the spec is not fully written.
• Ability to manage your own work independently and ship on time.
• 5+ years of experience in shipping high velocity products.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Experience designing agentic AI systems: multi-step workflows, tool use, feedback loops, and autonomous decision-making.
• Background in product discovery practices: user interviews, rapid prototyping, and hypothesis-driven development.
• Familiarity with the MSP, IT services space, or operational workflows B2B SaaS.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and DevOps workflows.
• Strong async communication skills — you write well and think out loud in docs.
